(L.A.) Masoud Rahmati, 50, Died in Jail

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old male that occurred at Men’s Central Jail.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Masoud Rahmati of Woodland Hills, California. Height: 5 feet 10 inches. Weight: 210 pounds.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Blunt Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:10 a.m.

The decedent’s name is Persian/Iranian. He had a long rap sheet that included assault, battery and grand theft. One recent arrest by the LAPD was on December 4, 2022, for elder abuse.

He apparently died inthe common area of Men’s Central Jail, 441 Bauchet St., Los Angeles 90012.
