(L.A.) Joseph Hutchinson, 51, Died by Homicide

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joseph Hutchinson and listed his race/ethnicity as Hispanic/Latino.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Blunt Force Trauma of Head and Chest

Cause of Death B: Stab Wounds of Abdomen

RIP JOSEPH HUTCHINSON (November 16, 1971 – August 4, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:19 p.m.

This is possibly the death that happened at the Men’s Central Jail downtown. Just the day before, another detainee at MCJ had died from natural causes.
