Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as William Rivera Coreano.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound to the Head

The decedent was an active sheriff’s deputy. He started with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on September 20, 2012. At the time of his passing, he was assigned to the Century Regional Detention Facility. He was a veteran who had served in the army.
