(L.A.) Manuel Sandoval, 46, Died at Men’s Central Jail

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Latino male that occurred while he was in the custody of the sheriff’s department.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Manuel Sandoval.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Adenovirus Infection, Morbid Obesity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 6:20 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 5.

The decedent died in the living area of the Men’s Central Jail.

MCJ is located at 441 Bauchet Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. It has 5,640 beds, housing inmates of all security levels, from general population to high security.
