(L.A.) Jose Esquivel Tiznado, 34, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Esquivel Tiznado.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Diabetic Ketoacidosis

Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine Use

RIP JOSE ESQUIVEL TIZNADO (August 16, 1989 – December 15, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:58 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in June the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental overdose.
