(L.A.) Merceditas De Leon, 49, Died in Grananda Hills

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Asian female that occurred at a residence in Granada Hills.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Merceditas De Leon.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP MERCEDITAS R DE LEON (March 7, 1974 – January 27, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:26 p.m.

The decedent appears to have been of Filipino descent. She was known as “Mimi de Leon” / “Mimi R DeLeon” at Sport Chalet, where she worked as a senior replenishment analyst.

She was one of four people killed by 79-year-old family patriarch Rodrigo De Leon who after the murders, took his own life.
