(L.A.) Seth Ventura, 43, Died in a Shelter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Latino male that occurred in a shelter.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Seth Ventura.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease and Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:16 p.m.

The government investigator had initially noted the place of death as a health center, before later changing it to a shelter.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
