(L.A.) Deandre Mitchell, 34, Died in an Arson-Fire

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Black male that occurred in an abandoned building in Westlake.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Deandre Mitchell.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Carbon Monoxide Toxicity, Smoke Inhalation, and Thermal Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:07 p.m.

The decedent was one of five people killed in an arson fire controversially set by an illegal immigrant from Honduras.
