(L.A.) Jose Dorado, 77, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 77-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in Boyle Heights.
The coroner’s office identified the old man as Jose Dorado.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:05 p.m.
The decedent was hit as he was crossing Mission Road, near First Street, in an unmarked crosswalk.
The driver of the vehicle, which had been traveling soutbound on Mission Road, did not stop to render aid, instead continuing until making a westbound turn onto 1st Street and a northbound turn onto Vignes Street. The vehicle was last seen making a westbound turn onto Commercial Street from Vignes Street.
The vehicle is described as a black Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima with black rims.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division were called to the intersection of Mission Road and Plaza del Sol at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday.
When they arrived, they learned a vehicle driving south on Mission struck a man and did not stop,
