Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Russell O’Bannon.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Disseminated Coccidioidomycosis

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Cerebrovascular Accidents, Cavitary Lung Lesion, Asthma, and Volvulus Treated Surgically

RIP RUSSELL O’BANNON (December 25, 1977 – April 21, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:40 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD on May 7.
