RIP COTY CRISP (July 20, 1990 – October 1, 2024)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:13 a.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine medication sold under brand names such as Atarax and Vistaril. It is a prescription medication primarily used to treat itching caused by allergies, anxiety disorders, and insomnia.
Mixing alcohol and hydroxyzine significantly increases the risk of adverse effects due to their additive impact on the central nervous system. Medical professionals strongly advise against consuming alcohol while taking hydroxyzine due to the risk of respiratory failure and cardiac arrhythmia.
In the local medical examiner’s parlance, private residence indicates the decedent did not die in his own home, but at someone else’s.
