(L.A.) Victoria Williams, 18, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Black female that occurred in a vehicle.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Victoria Williams of Inglewod.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:03 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol Fort Tejon area office and L.A. County Fire Department personnel responded to a fire believed to have started shortly after 9:30 p.m. off the Interstate 5 on a remote stretch of road in Gorman.
After the fire was extinguished, one individual was found lifeless inside a 2012 Honda.
The vehicle was found on the west side of the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, south of Gorman School Road.
The incident also caused a brush fire that grew to 13 acres and was extinguished only at 11:21 p.m. One firefighter sustained minor injuries fighting the blaze.
Gorman is an unincorporated community in northwestern Los Angeles County. It is located in Peace Valley south of the Tejon Pass, which links Southern California with the San Joaquin Valley and Northern California. Due to this location, the area has served as a historic travel stop dating back to the indigenous peoples of California.
