(L.A.) Federico Salguero, 56, Died in the Pacific Ocean

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Latino male that occurred in the Pacific Ocean.

The coroner’s office eventually identified the man as Federico Salguero.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Drowning

RIP FEDERICO SALGUERO (March 2, 1968 – November 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:45 p.m.

The incident involved an overturned boat off the coast of Redondo Beach. The boat had about six passengers one board. Only the decedent perished; the other occupants were rescued.

Note that the government investigator had initially entered the decedent’s forename as “Fredrico” into the public record.
