(L.A.) Francisco Garcia, 35, Died From a Head Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk in South Gate.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Francisco Garcia.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 11:45 p.m.

The shooting happened at around 11:30 p.m. in the 8900 block of McNerney Avenue.

South Gate is the 19th largest city in Los Angeles County. Located seven miles southeast of Downtown L.A., it is part of the Gateway Cities region of southeastern L.A. County.
