(L.A.) Matthew Alvarado, 19, Died in Compton

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Alvarado of Bell Gardens.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP MATTHEW ALVARADO (October 2, 2005 – January 28, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:39 p.m.

The decedent was fatally shot in Compton while he was seated inside a vehicle.

LASD said the shooting happened in the 2200 block of East Rosecrans Avenue, between North Willowbrook Avenue and Mulberry Street.
