(L.A.) Edvin Avagyan, 26, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edvin Avagyan and listed his race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African [sic].

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP EDVIN AVAGYAN (September 22, 1998 – February 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:45 p.m.

Apparently, the decedent was shot dead in the 1100 block of Denivelle Road of Sunland.

The victim was reportedly walking on the street when he was approached by two vehicles. One man exited from each vehicle and fired shots at Avagyan. The suspects then returned to their vehicles and drove away.

Later, a 39-year-old suspect turned himself in to police, saying the victim was the boyfriend of his ex-wife.
