Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 72-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence in Palmdale.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Braxton.

Manner of Death: Undetermined

Cause of Death A: Congestive Heart Failure

Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Heart Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Phencyclidine Toxicity; Emphysema

Phencyclidine or phenylcyclohexyl piperidine (PCP), also known as angel dust among other names, is a dissociative anesthetic mainly used recreationally for its significant mind-altering effects. PCP may cause hallucinations, distorted perceptions of sounds, and violent behavior.
