(L.A.) Ronnie Butler, 63, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ronnie Butler.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Diabetes

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 1:39 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-September, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental overdose.
