Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old male of Latin American ethnicity that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ricardo Cortez Jr..

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Ethanol Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Cardiomegaly

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:56 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-September, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
