(L.A.) Amy Nishiyama, 45, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old female of Japanese ethnicity that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Amy Nishiyama.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Hiraoka.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Bronchopneumonia, Non-Covid

Cause of Death B: Hypertrophic Heart Disease

Other Significant Condition: Aspiration Pneumonitis of Lungs

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:16 a.m.

The archdiocese has indicated that the decedent may have been homeless. She had a record of arrests for petty crimes such as theft and resisting arrest.
