The coroner’s office has identified the man as Anthony Mercy.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Blunt Force Head Trauma

Other Significant Condition: Liver Cirrhosis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 3:53 p.m.

Incident location: 1900 block of Long Beach Boulevard

Investigators learned that the decedent had been involved in a dispute or altercation on Tuesday, near 14th Street and Seaside Park.
