(L.A.) Bevelyn Patel, 44, Died in an Alley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old female that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Bevelyn Patel and listed her race/ethnicity as Black [sic].

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Stab Wounds

RIP BEVELYN JOETTA PATEL (September 5, 1956 – February 27, 2001)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:00 a.m.

Patel is a Desi surname. It is unknown if it could be her married name.

There is a “Bevelyn Joetta Newman” buried in Angelus Rosedale Cemetery having the same birthdate as the decedent.

She was stabbed dead at 767 East 14th Place in downtown L.A.
