(L.A.) Blaine Laprairie, 46, Died From a Chest Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Blaine Laprairie.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:02 a.m.
Deputies from the L.A. County Sheriffs Department’s Compton Station were called at around 11:04 p.m. Tuesday to the 600 block of W. Corregidor Street between S. Center Avenue and Alondra Boulevard for a “shots fired” call. Upon arriving at the location, they found LaPrairie with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Compton Fire Department paramedics took him to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The decedent worked as a repo man and was repossessing a vehicle when a suspect opened fire and shot him.
He was repossessing a car at the Jasmine Garden Apartment complex.
