(L.A.) Cathriona White, 30, Ended Her Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Caucasian female that occurred at her residence on Briarwood Drive in Sherman Oaks.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Carthriona White [sic].

Cause of Death: Effect of Multiple Drugs

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:40 p.m.

As of March 2024, the medical examiner’s record still has the spelling “Carthriona” for the decedent’s forename.

Cathriona White was born in Ireland. She was known for being Jim Carrey’s girlfriend.

White was found dead by friends who had not heard from her for four days, so it’s likely she actually died earlier than September 28. She was in her bed dressed in a T-shirt and underwear. Her body was already showing early signs of decomposition.

A suicide note and letter were found on her dining room table. She killed herself by overdosing on various prescription drugs — Zofran, Propranol, Percocet and Ambien.
