Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Black female that occurred in a nursing home.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Cella Daniels.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Heart Disease

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Traumatic Hip Fracture, Status Post Surgical Repair and Medical History of Diabetes Mellitus

RIP CELLA DANIELS (April 24, 1955 – September 8, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 5:28 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 8 the following year.
