(L.A.) Chauncy Johnson, 38, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Black male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Chauncy Johnson.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP CHAUNCY JOHNSON (May 10, 1985 – September 15, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 7:40 p.m.

A man was killed and a woman wounded in a shooting in South Los Angeles Friday evening.

LAPD officers who arrived at Broadway and Manchester Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Friday for a shots fired call found a man in his 30s unconscious and not breathing after being shot in the head and a woman in her 30s shot in a leg.

Two suspects were described as men wearing black hoodies.
