Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Esteban Garcia Cruz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Chronic and Acute Alcohol Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Concussive Posttraumatic Apnea and Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 15.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
