Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old male that occurred in a hotel/motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hagop Janoyan.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Cyanide Intoxication

RIP HAGOP JANOYAN (December 25, 1972 – June 21, 2000)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:25 a.m.

Out of over 160,000 death records made public by the county’s medical examiner since 1999, cyanide has been mentioned only about a dozen times. The most recent one appears to be in 2018.
