Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jake Rose.

Cause of Death A: Complications of Congestive Heart Failure

Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease; Methamphetamine Effects

RIP JAKE ROSE (May 16, 1980 – April 10, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:23 a.m.

The medical examiner had ruled this as a natural death on April 17, before later changing it on May 2 to an accidental overdose.
