(L.A.) Jeffrey Alden, 61, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jeffrey Alden.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 1:44 p.m.

This death was spotlighted in November 2023 after it was revealed that the coroner-investigator assigned to this case — Adrian Muñoz — had been thieving from corpses.

While searching Muñoz’s cubicle, authorities found rare antique coins along with a receipt with the name of Jeffrey Alden, whose death Muñoz had been investigating. The coins were worth more than $950.
