The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jered Standing.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Rock.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Hanging

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:44 p.m.

The decedent described himself on social media as “Meatman, shopkeep, burgerdaddy.” He was the owner of Standing’s Butchery on Melrose.
