Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a driveway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jesus Castellanos of Sylmar.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

RIP JESUS ALAN CASTELLANOS (December 6, 1988 – April 6, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 2:36 p.m.

The decedent was supposedly armed with a knife and a metal pole. He was shot dead by LAPD Officer James Galbraith, who was exonerated by the district attorney in November 2023.
