Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Garcia Carapia.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP JOSE GARCIA CARAPIA (October 1, 1971 – June 28, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 1:31 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 30, presumably after the results of tox screening came back negative for substances.
