(L.A.) Julian Medina, 48, Died in a Park

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a park by Union Station.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Julian Medina.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:08 a.m.
When this case was first made public by the government investigator on January 11, the decedent was identified as a 50-year-old woman named Julia Medina, born November 13, 1973.
By February 3, the details had changed. The decedent is now identified as a 48-year-old woman named Julian Medina, born February 21, 1975.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
Incident location is the southwest corner of Los Angeles Street and Alameda Street in the 90012. There is a colony of unhoused in the general area of what was called Junipero Serra Park, now known as Yaanga Park, right across from Union Station.
