Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Black male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Kim Byous.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP KIM BYOUS (February 5, 1988 – May 8, 2023)

The decedent was shot and killed in South Los Angeles. He was found dead in an alley.

Police responded to a “shots fired” call at approximately 9:16 p.m. on Monday in the 9000 block of South Manhattan Place, near Western Avenue. They found Byous suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene at 9.34 p.m.
