(L.A.) Lana Clarkson, 40, Died at a Private Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Caucasian female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Lana Clarkson.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head and Neck

RIP LANA JEAN CLARKSON (April 5, 1962 – February 3, 2003)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 6:25 a.m.

The decedent was fatally shot by record producer Phil Spector inside his home. He was charged with second-degree murder and convicted in 2009.

Incident location was Spector’s mansion at 1700 South Grandview Drive, Alhambra, California. The French Chateau-style mansion has been known as Pyrenees Castle. It sold in 2021 for $3.3 million.
