(L.A.) Longeno Louis, III, 19, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Longeno Louis, III.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds of Torso

RIP LONGENO LOUIS, III (July 23, 2003 – August 5, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:57 p.m.

Location: 3120 N. Springdale Drive

Police were dispatched to a home on the 3100 block of West Spring Street in Long Beach for a report of a shooting. Police arrived around 3:25 p.m. and found a man inside a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body. An ambulance took the man to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The 16-year-old shooter surrendered at the Police Department’s Public Safety Building at 400 W. Broadway at 6:15 p.m. He is expected to be charged with murder.
