(L.A.) Lydia Katash, 39, Died at a Restaurant

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Caucasian female that occurred at a restaurant.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Lydia Katash.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Asphyxia

Cause of Death B: Manual Strangulation

RIP LYDIA KATASH (February 2, 1953 – October 10, 1992)

This was a notorious case. Lydia was managing a restaurant owned by her ex-husband Jack Katash. She was killed with her lover, Eli Massalton, 30, who was Jack’s cousin. The two victims were strangled and found inside a walk-in freezer some time after they had disappeared in January.
