Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marco Olivares.

Cause of Death A: Consequences of Endocarditis

Cause of Death B: Sequelae of Chronic Narcotism

RIP MARCO OLIVARES (May 21, 1996 – May 6, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:15 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 17 the following year.

Narcotism is the habitual use of narcotics.

One in 10 hospitalizations for endocarditis is associated with injection drug use.
