(L.A.) Quincy Reese, 16, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the teenager as Quincy Reese.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP QUINCY REESE JR. (September 9, 2006 – June 10, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 11:54 p.m.

The decedent was shot in South Los Angeles in the area of 74th Street and Western Avenue.

He was a standout basketball player at Crenshaw High School.

According to his family, the shooting was “over a girl.”
