(L.A.) Richard Smith Jr., 61, Died From Coke Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Smith Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine

RIP RICHARD SMITH JR. (April 10, 1963 – September 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 2:52 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in January, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
