(L.A.) Riley Rose Clayton, a Baby, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the infant girl as Riley Rose Clayton.

STATUS: The decedent’s body has been released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take three to five months.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:22 a.m.

The child was born on the Fourth of July. She was on Earth for about four and a half months.
