Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Asian male that occurred at a shooting range.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Robert Macasi of Palmdale, California.

Ruling by the medical examiner was made public on June 27. It could not be determined whether it was a homicide, suicide or accident.
The surname Macasi is associated with the Philippines. The decedent was likely of Filipino descent.
He had been picked up by California Highway Patrol in December 2023 for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
Since the year 2000, at least 38 in-county deaths have a shooting range as an incident location / place of death.
