Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Shaquan Naeem Muhammad.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Complications of Congestive Heart Failure

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine, Hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 1:45 a.m.

The medical examiner made this record public only in mid-July 2023, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.
