(L.A.) Shawn Alvarez, 52, Died From Gunshots

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Shawn Alvarez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP SHAWN MICHAEL ALVAREZ (July 15, 1971 – November 29, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:39 a.m.

The decedent was one of three homeless victims killed by Jerrid Powell in a murderous spree.
