(L.A.) Thomas Kovacs, 60, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Thomas Kovacs.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Ethanol

RIP THOMAS KOVACS (January 16, 1964 – April 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 12:20 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

The decedent appears to have been a resident of Koreatown in the months prior to his death.
